Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college or university
• Ability to explain concepts effectively to students
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with classroom teachers and students
• Ability to work with students individually and in small groups

 

Responsibilities:

• Provides supplemental academic assistance to students
•  Conducts instructional activities assigned by the content teacher with individual students or small groups
• Collaborates with content teachers regarding the progress and individual needs of students
• Collaborates with the content teacher to deliver differentiated instruction for students based on available local and state student data
• Assists the content teacher in preparing instructional materials
• Maintains appropriate records and reporting tools regarding services and student progress
• Attends required training sessions to learn strategies for working with students
• Participates in staff development programs to improve job performance
